Creating your own journaling eco-system

The ocean has always been a place of cleansing.
Before words, before ritual, before doctrine, there was salt and water — drawing what was heavy back into the earth and returning the body to its natural rhythm.

Ocean salt water purification is not about fixing yourself.
It is about release.

Salt carries memory. Water carries movement. Together, they soften what the nervous system has been holding and gently wash the soul clear.

This ritual is especially supportive during times of emotional weight, transition, grief, exhaustion, or when you feel disconnected from yourself.

The Ocean Salt Water Purification Ritual

You will need:
– A bowl of warm water
– Sea salt or Himalayan salt
– Optional: a rose petal, shell, or pearl
– A quiet moment

1. Prepare the Water

Place the bowl in front of you. Add a small handful of salt and stir slowly with your hand. As you do, imagine the water becoming ocean water — alive, intelligent, and cleansing.

Take a breath and say quietly (or inwardly):
I invite the cleansing wisdom of the ocean to meet me here.

2. Begin the Cleansing

Dip your fingers into the water and gently touch your wrists, heart, and lower belly. These are places where emotion and memory often gather.

Move slowly. Let your body feel the gesture.

3. Release

Close your eyes. With each exhale, imagine the salt water drawing out what you no longer need to carry — tension, old emotion, borrowed expectations, fatigue.

There is nothing to analyse. Simply allow.

You may wish to whisper:
I release what is not mine to hold.

4. Blessing & Return

If you are using a rose petal, shell, or pearl, hold it briefly and place it beside the bowl as a symbol of renewal and feminine wisdom.

Rest one hand on your heart and one on your belly. Take three slow breaths.

When ready, pour the water onto the earth, into a plant, or down the drain with gratitude.

Closing Reflection

Salt water purification reminds us that healing does not need to be dramatic. Often, it is quiet, repetitive, and deeply kind.

The ocean does not judge what it receives.
It simply transforms.

Return to this ritual whenever you feel heavy, disconnected, or in need of gentleness. Each time, you are reminding your body and soul that release is safe — and renewal is always possible.
